How to Plump Cushions Correctly
In order to offer better support, receive equal wear, gain longer life or simply to refresh your cushion’s appearance we recommend you plump them as often as possible.
Cushion Styling
Whether you prefer a more natural or manicured look the plumping techniques described can be applied previously to both.
To achieve the chopped pillow effect simply create an indented V shape to the top of your cushion by using a chopping motion with your hand. To finesse the form pull on the points of each ‘ear’ until the desired shape is achieved.
To create a full, plump-looking cushion simply follow the steps below:
1. Knead
Remove any lumps and bumps in the filling by kneading with both hands.
2. Squish
After a firm shake grip each side of the cushion and vigorously push and pull to separate contents and reintroduce air back into the pad.
3. Bounce
Place your cushion onto a hard surface and press and release a few times with your hands crossed.
4. Rotate
Remember to rotate your cushion periodically for even lift and fullness.
