A Little Guidance

Should I measure the window or the curtain pole?
For curtains, follow the guide for your heading and fitting. The pole or track is the starting point for your width, and the correct drop measuring point varies by heading. Your PDF explains the exact measuring points and any allowances.
What is the difference between a pole and a track?
A curtain pole is a rod, usually with decorative end pieces. Pencil and pinch pleat curtains hang from rings, while eyelet curtains slide directly onto the pole. A track uses small gliders to carry curtain hooks. Choose the guide that matches your installed fitting.
How do I measure inside or outside a window recess?
A recess is the space within the window opening. Inside-recess and outside-recess measurements differ, so follow your product's PDF guide for measuring points, clearance and any deductions or allowances. Perfect Fit shutters have their own measuring requirements.
Can I save or print the measuring guide?
Yes. Select "View Measuring Guide" to open the PDF in a new tab, then use your browser's PDF controls to save or print it.
